TIPS FROM A SURVIVOR: HOW TO MAKE BREAST CANCER TREATMENT EASIER

TRAVIS BRADY | AUTHOR

Travis Brady is surviving and thriving past her Stage 3A ER+ PR+ breast cancer diagnosis in 2016. In her quest to help others like herself, Brady interviewed more than 50 breast cancer survivors, learning their needs and stories about getting through treatment. What she uncovered is that all the women were looking for positive survivor stories to give them direction and hope. This insight is what led Brady to write Make Room for Healing: 40 Tips from a Breast Cancer Survivor. In this Breast Cancer Awareness round table discussion, Brady is sharing all the information she wished she had when she was first diagnosed, including practical tips and some new thinking on how to get through breast cancer treatment. Travis is inviting you to join the discussion. At the end of the virtual presentation, Travis will give away a cancer care package to one lucky attendee.

BARING IT ALL: REFLECTIONS OF MY BREAST CANCER F*CKERY

AMY BANOCY | BEST SELLING AUTHOR, ENTREPRENEUR, DYNAMIC SPEAKER, FACILITATOR AND MOM

BARING IT ALL…well, almost ALL of it!

3 touchstones for keeping it real and taking care of yourself during your breast cancer "f*ckery", as experienced by a recovering optimist and people pleaser.

When Amy Banocy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, it challenged everything she knew about herself. As a serial optimist, she thought she’d tackle cancer the same way she did everything else; with positivity and a smile. After all, as a coach and speaker, she was teaching others the power of these traits for a living.

When things got crazy and she was hit with unexpected curveballs, Amy found it hard to keep up the positive mindset she’d always relied on. This was very difficult for her to grapple with and understand. She hid her emotions, which led to her fearing how not being 100% positive might impact her health. At the same time, she craved a safe space to scream and release all of the emotional trauma she was experiencing.

All this while exhausted, nauseous, and trying to lovingly kick cancer’s ass.

Perhaps you can relate?

You will leave this webinar feeling confident about fully expressing the emotions that come with a breast cancer diagnosis, while also maintaining a healthy outlook and taking care of YOU. These tips helped Amy through her breast cancer “journey”, or as she refers to it, her breast cancer “fuckery”, and have also led her to change how she lives every day. Spoiler alert: it turns out a smile and “I’m fine”, aren’t always the best answer.

SURVIVING TO THRIVING

DR. BETH BAUGHMAN DUPREE | MD, FACS, ABOIM, CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER OF INNERSTILL HEALTH, CALIBER MEDICAL AND GATEWAY SCIENCES

After 35 years of treating women and men with a diagnosis of breast cancer, Dr. Beth Dupree, MD came to know all too well that survivorship MUST begin at diagnosis and we cannot sit still until “thrivership” is achieved. All too often western medicine has failed to treat the whole person leaving massive gaps in patient care. Dr. DuPree has been trained by the best western medicine physicians and surgeons to cut out cancer and has become a respected national and international thought leader in breast cancer care. Her passion and purpose, though, is improving the “journey to healing” that each and every woman and man travels after a diagnosis. Please join us for an inspirational talk as she shares her personal journey to healing. As a surgeon who was trained that “nothing heals like cold steel" and "to cut is to cure”, Dr. DuPree needed to pay attention to the subtle signs in her life and embrace the healer that resides inside of her. She is truly a healer that chose to be a surgeon in this lifetime. She hopes to inspire you on your journey to healing.

THE COC PROTOCOL™ IN BREAST CANCER

ZORAIDA MENDEZ | CANCER CARE ONCOLOGY

The COC Protocol is a combination regime of four commonly prescribed medications, each with evidence of metabolically-based anticancer activity, and well understood safety profiles. These medications are: metformin, atorvastatin, doxycycline, and mebendazole. Some of the studies which support the use of the COC Protocol as an adjunctive therapy alongside current standard treatments for breast cancer will be discussed. This evidence mainly comes from laboratory studies, large epidemiological studies (which investigate links between taking medications and breast cancer outcomes in groups of individuals), and early stage clinical trials.
